Technique: The scrape technique is based on German artist, Gerhard Richter’s work.

Overlaying acrylic paint has been applied by scraping tools including coreflute, spatula, dough separators and a metal scraper. Gum Arabic has also been used to: thin the paint; add transparency; act as a resist; add a crackle finish and create a “pop” via a gloss finish.

Paintings were done 3 at a time using similar colours and techniques yet yielding different outcomes.
